Vermicomposting uses earthworms to break down organic waste — cattle dung, crop residue, kitchen and farm waste — into a rich, nutrient-dense compost far faster and more effectively than waste simply decomposing on its own. For a dairy or mixed farm already generating a steady supply of dung and organic waste, a dedicated Vermi Bed turns that waste stream into a genuinely valuable input for your own soil, or a product you can sell, rather than something you're just managing and disposing of.
The bed itself is a UV-stabilized HDPE container sized at 12 x 4 x 2 feet — large enough for meaningful compost production, small enough to fit into a corner of a farm without needing a dedicated large-scale composting area. It works alongside our Azola Bed as another way to convert farm inputs (in this case, waste rather than fodder) into something directly useful for your operation.
