Nagpur earned its nickname the "Orange City" honestly — the Nagpur orange, granted Geographical Indication status in 2014, has been grown across this district's orchards for generations and remains central to the local farm economy, particularly around Katol and Kalmeshwar. But citrus farming carries real risk, vulnerable to disease outbreaks, pest pressure, and price swings that can hit an orchard's income hard in a bad year. Many households here pair orange cultivation with goats or dairy cattle specifically to build steadier income alongside the citrus crop. Our equipment is built for exactly this kind of diversified orchard household.

Explore RangeBeing home to India's GI-certified Orange City creates a distinct set of priorities:
Nagpur orange orchards face real vulnerability to disease outbreaks, pest infestation, and unpredictable market prices, any of which can significantly cut a season's income. Many households here keep goats or dairy cattle specifically to build income that doesn't rise and fall with the citrus harvest alone, and our low-maintenance flooring fits naturally alongside an already demanding orchard schedule.
The Nagpur orange's 2014 GI certification reflects real, formally recognized quality characteristics tied to this specific growing region. Farms accustomed to this kind of certified quality culture often extend similar standards to their own livestock operations.
Cotton and soybean also grow extensively across this district, giving many farms a genuinely mixed income base where citrus, field crops, and livestock all play a role.
As Maharashtra's second capital and a significant logistics hub, Nagpur's urban growth creates both market access advantages and real land-value pressure for farms closer to the city.
